Robert joined Lax, Vaughan, Fortson, Rowe & Threet, P.A. as a shareholder at the beginning of 2019.  His practice focuses primarily in the areas of estate planning, tax planning for individuals and businesses, probate and trust administration and business transactions.  He advises individuals and businesses on a wide range of related areas including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, charitable planning, premarital agreements, and preparation of trusts, wills and power of attorneys. He also advises numerous private and family-owned businesses in Arkansas on a variety of contracts and tax related matters. 

Robert graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in Taxation and was the valedictorian of his graduating class. He received his law degree with honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Arkansas.

Robert was admitted to the Arkansas Bar in 2011. He has been selected by fellow attorneys as a “Rising Star” in Mid-South Super Lawyers since 2019 and was recently selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America©.  Robert is a member of the Pulaski County Bar Association and the Arkansas Bar Association, and currently serves as Chair of the Probate & Trust Section. 

Robert is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas. He and his wife Sarah have two sons,  Douglas and William.
